I Am Randall, the Chaos Sentry

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

The best description for this game would be: a combination of Lost Planet 2, and Gears of War, neither of which I like very much.

HOWEVER, Resident Evil seems to take my cake, since I really want to play it right now. I think I like it more because it has a much faster pace than Gears of War and Lost Planet.

I will now summarize the first level, which only took me 20 minutes to complete (even after I died twice)

I chose Four-Eyes as my main operative and proceeded with the mission: Locate Dr. William Birkham and secure a sample of the G-Virus.

After a quick tutorial, military Spec-Ops broke into the area where I was training. I took cover and returned fire. Eliminating them was a little more difficult than I imagined, you really have to go for head-shots here. After the little firefight, my squad infiltrated an Umbrella base of operations. The team leader, codename HUNK, entered Birkham’s lab with another unnamed, unimportant character and proceeded to take the virus by force while the rest of the squad and I stood guard at the entrance. I heard screaming from inside to lab and turn around to investigate. Lo and behold, Dr. Birkham had infected himself with the G-Virus and turned into a monstrosity with an huge eye on his right shoulder.

The rest of the level was spent running from him, and mowing through a squad of Spec-Ops.

—I can see this game getting really monotonous eventually, but I’ll keep playing nonetheless. I really like the story so far, and online multiplayer Heroes mode is a lot of fun. Turns out that I am really bad as Jill Valentine and I am much better with Claire Redfield.
